Border Police Supt. Patrick Pereg

Apr 4, 2002 - Border Police Supt. Patrick Pereg, 30, of Rosh Ha'ayin, head of operations in an undercover unit, was killed while attempting to arrest a wanted member of Fatah's al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade.

Members of the undercover unit approached a house in the Palestinian-controlled area of Hebron where a weapons merchant responsible for supplying much of the weaponry used by Palestinians during terrorist attacks in Israel and his brother were holed up.
