Tuvia Wisner

Mar 29, 2002 - Tuvia Wisner, 79, of Petah Tikva was stabbed to death while on his way to the synagogue for morning prayers, when a Palestinian terrorist infiltrated the Neztarim settlement in the Gaza Strip.

Tuvia had been staying for the Passover holiday with his son Hanan and his family who are residents of Netzarim. He was killed along with Michael Orlansky, who was also visiting family. A resident who had left the synagogue discovered them lying on the ground and immediately alerted the community's doctor and security officials. The two were taken in a bulletproof ambulance to Soroka Hospital but died en route.

"He was a healthy man, and my mother is still not able to accept his death," said Hanan.

Tuvia Wisner was buried at the Segula cemetery in Petah Tikva. He is survived by his wife and son.
