Yitzhak Cohen
Mar 21, 2002 - Yitzhak Cohen, 48, of Modi'in was one of three people killed and 86 injured when a suicide bomber detonated a bomb, packed with metal spikes and nails, in the center of a crowd of shoppers on King George Street in the center of Jerusalem. Yitzhak Cohen left the nearby perfume store where he worked on Thursday afternoon. He was walking toward his bus stop when he was killed in the blast. Yitzhak Cohen immigrated to Israel as a child from Tunisia with his parents and five brothers and sisters. His father died when he was young. Yitzhak was married and had six children. Seven months ago, he moved with his family from Alon Shvut in the Gush Etzion bloc to Modi'in because he felt it was safer. Yitzhak Cohen was buried in Jerusalem. He is survived by his wife, Rahel and his six children - Sigal (16), Keren (15), Reut (13), Lior (11) Aviel (7), and Tehila (4).
