Hadas Abutbul

Nov 9, 2001 - Hadas Abutbul, 39, of Mevo Dotan in northern Samaria was shot and killed by Palestinian terrorists on Friday afternoon as she drove from work in nearby Shaked.

The terrorists set up a roadside ambush near the Yabed rubbish dump, shot Hadas Abutbul in the back, causing her to lose control of her car, which overturned into a wadi, where she died of her wounds. The terrorists fled toward the Palestinian-controlled area nearby. The Fatah al-Aksa Brigade in Jenin later claimed responsibility for the slaying.

Abutbul, the mother of four young children, including a one-year old baby girl, managed the nursery school in the nearby community of Shaked. Her husband, Yitzhak, is a driver for the regional council development company.

Hadas Abutbul was buried in Afula. She is survived by her husband and four children.
