Meir Weisshois
Sept 15, 2001 - Meir Weisshois, 23, of Jerusalem, was fatally shot late Saturday night in a drive-by shooting on the Ramot-French Hill road in northern Jerusalem. Meir Weisshois, a kashrut supervisor of the ultra-Orthodox Satmar Hassidic group, was killed when Palestinians opened fire on the car while traveling from Ramot to French Hill. Weisshois suffered a critical head injury and died of his wounds in the Ein Karem Hadassah Hospital. Moshe Weiss, also a kashrut supervisor, who was with him in the car was moderately injured. The terrorists apparently fled towards Ramallah. Meir Weisshois was buried in Jerusalem. He is survived by his wife, 8 months pregnant, and a daughter.
