Ilya Krivitz
June 20, 2001 - Ilya Krivitz, 62, of Homesh in Samaria was shot and killed at close range in an ambush late Wednesday afternoon in the nearby Palestinian town of Silat e-Dhahr. Ilya Krivitz, who works at a print shop in Netanya, was shot at close range shortly after conducting business with a Palestinian with whom he works from the village of Silat a-Dahar, which abuts Homesh. He managed to get back into his vehicle and reach the entrance to Homesh. A Magen David Adom ambulance quickly arrived on the scene but the medical crew was unable to save him. Krivitz and his wife Nina immigrated from Russia with their married daughter Rita nine years ago and moved directly to Homesh. A second daughter, Svetlana, also married, joined them several years later. Ilya Krivitz was laid to rest in Netanya. He is survived by his wife and two daugters, and five grandchildren.
