Doron Zisserman


June 18, 2001 - Doron Zisserman, 38, of Einav, was shot and killed in his car by sniper fire near the entrance to Einav, east of Tulkarem.

Doron Zisserman was returning home in a convoy of three cars when terrorists opened fire from a hilltop east of the entrance to Einav, hitting Zisserman in the neck and head, then shooting at the other cars. Zisserman died shortly afterwards.

Doron Zisserman worked as an electrical engineer in Haifa. A graduate of the Nehalim Yeshiva, he was married to Tami, with whom he had lived in Einav for nine years. They had three children, aged 3 to 12. Doron was killed on his 38th birthday.

Neighbors related that while modest, he was a natural leader, creative and talented.

Doron Zisserman was laid to rest in the Segula cemetery in Petah Tikva.
