Ronen Reuvenov

Feb 25, 2005 - Ronen Reuvenov, 30, of Tel Aviv was one of four people killed when a suicide bomber blew himself up outside the Stage club on the Tel Aviv promenade at around 11:20 P.M. The Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the attack.

Ronen Reuvenov had come to the Stage club for a surprise party for a friend from reserves where he was killed.

Born in Tel Aviv, Ronen went to study and live on Kibbutz Tse'elim at the age of 13. After serving in the Givati Brigade, he returned to work on the kibbutz's dairy farm for three years, and during the past three years, he lived and worked in Tel Aviv.

"Ronen was everything for us, he supported the entire family," his sister Orly said Saturday. "I am a single mother, and he was a father to my two children. He would take them bike riding or bowling, and gave them a good time."

She added, "He wasn't afraid iof anything. He served in the most dangerous places, in Gaza and Lebanon. He was full of life, always smiling. He loved karaoke, and that was one reason the Stage club was chosen for the party. We ate dinner together on Friday evening, and he was busy with phone calls from all over the country from the friends who were coming to the surprise party he helped organize."

Ronen Reuvenov will be buried in the Holon cemetery. He is survived by his parents, Rivka and Aharon, and his sister Orly.
