Let's Blame Israel: Street Talk Tells it Straight

Ah, Yes! For a very few days most of the Liberal Media was humanely appalled at the unprovoked, senseless, hideous carnage against 28 innocents killed and hundreds wounded over December 1st and 2nd in Israel. Then the ghoulish bastards of the Media started in immediately after Governor Tom Ridge announced an alert for a possible new terrorism attack.

Already the ghouls of the Media are ginning up the idea that, if the Muslims attack America again, it is "because Israel is fighting Arafat's terrorists". We heard it creep in on CNN; we heard it on MSNBC and soon we will hear and read it from the NEW YORK TIMES, BBC, NPR and other State Department Arabist conduits. It is their irrevocable habit of many decades to blame Israel for Arab Islamic Terror and further blame Israel when it responded to terrorist actions. In this case, they wish to pre-blame Isarel for future Islamic terrorist attacks as is being done now.

I am at the moment listening to an old friend, Wolf Blitzer on CNN, acting the provocateur as his questions guide his interviewee to blame Israel for responding to terror. However, his interviewee, Paul Bremen, former Ambassador, stated plainly that Arafat was, is and remains a terrorist. Blitzer did his best to get Bremen to exonerate Arafat and blame Israel. Instead, Bremen had the good sense to observe correctly that the number of people killed by terrorists under Arafat's control would be the comparable loss of several thousand people in America proportionate terms to half those killed at the World Trade Center by the terrorists under Osama bin Laden's control.

Later Dec. 3rd on Wolf Blitzer's "War Room" Blitzer poses the questions to the panelists: "Did US give Green Light to Ariel Sharon to retaliate? "&" Are there any parallels between Israeli action and US anti-Taliban action in Afghanistan?

Richard Perle: (Chairman Pentagon Defense Policy Board): What Israel is doing is retaliating against acts of violence intended to kill Israeli civilians. What we are doing is exactly the same thing but, the difference is that Israel doesn't criticize us. We have a history of criticizing them. I'm happy to say it now looks as if we are going to shelve that criticism.

Wolf : America never occupied Afghanistan but Israel is occupying their land.

Perle: History show Israel protected themselves when attacked [by the Arabs] in 1967. Under international law they have a right to remain there until there is a settlement. There isn't going to be a settlement under Arafat. Arafat should go. Arafat can no longer bring peace. Either he is unable or unwilling to control his own terrorists. Either way it is time for Arafat to go.

Perle: "Colin Powell has shaped this coalition brilliantly. It's been a consummate performance. He's asked them to do so little that when they stop doing it, we'll really hardly notice it. So it really doesn't matter if the Coalition stays together. We have critical objectives: Protecting this country. The Israelis are trying to protect themselves. If the Coalition is the only way we are going to achieve this protections, we are going to have to lose the Coalition. But, I don' t think we will".

Let us watch the Liberal Media in the next few weeks as they swirl around in a feeding frenzy, numb our minds over the horrific atrocities committed by the Palestinians against young Israelis and trust it to blame Israel.

The CHICAGO TRIBUNE December 4th editorial dripped with venom as it recommended an imposed solution to force Israeli settlers to be transferred behind 1967 cease-fire lines. And, if they refuse, bulldoze their homes. The CHICAGO TRIBUNE (throughout their history) is only one prototype of publications whose policy is notoriously anti-Israel and anti-Jewish.

That some in the Media have a warped liberal bias is in no doubt. Somehow the Arabs are their emotional pals and the Jewish State must be wrong, simply because they have the guts to fight back when pushed to the wall. The ghouls of the Media always ignore the six prior wars initiated by the Arabs to eliminate the Jewish State then shriek "occupation". Although Arafat now rules over 99% of the Arab Palestinians, their continual bleating of the word "occupation" is repeated frequently as the reason or "root cause" for Arafat's terrorism. That is how they justify Arafat's gangs' terrorism. The Liberal Media seems to deliberately ignore the fact that, since 1948, the Arabs have done their very best to "occupy" the Land of Israel and dispose of her Jewish inhabitants.

Not all journalists are like Tom Friedman, Anthony Lewis (NEW YORK TIMES), Jerrold Kessel (CNN), Peter Jennings (ABC), Linda Gradstein (NPR), among others of the anti-Israel Liberal Media. But, then we are lucky to have Morton Kondracke, William Safire, George Will, Charles Krauthammer, Cal Thomas and a handful of other honest reporters who tell it straight.

Tom Friedman's article on December 2nd (NEW YORK TIMES) is engaged in his usual flip-flop to protect his prior wrong conclusions on Mid East peace and now he castigates Arafat for the "intifada" but continues to push for all the concessions offered by a confused former Prime Minister Ehud Barak to appease Arafat.

The conformists of the Media resent that Israel would dare retaliate against terror and not restrain themselves as they have been repeatedly told to do. No country in the world would have held back this long but, Israel is Jewish. Jews have always been treated as the outsider and not entitled to the same laws or rights of response accorded to all other nations. As a result, they restrain themselves from their rightful defense until they are pushed to the wall. The casualties in Israel have piled up and the view of the media is that these casualties are acceptable because it is for the greater good of all. The media and Arafat's spokesman frequently cite casualties among the Palestinians - ignoring the fact that they occurred when the Palestinians were attacking Israelis. More than 700 Israelis have been killed since Oslo was signed on the White House lawn, with thousands wounded - many maimed for life. "Just" those 33 killed in the last 7 days of terrorism equal half (proportionately to population) of those killed at the World Trade Center.

It has been inconceivable to the Media that Muslims hate America all on their own. They can't imagine Islam hating America with her Christian majority, simply because we are non-believers of Allah. Islamists hate achievers. They hate America because it is an advanced civilization and is a high achiever. Similarly, they hate Israel because she sits in the midst of primitive Arab countries who have made little effort to bring their people out of the 7th century. Israel develops new medical procedures, sciences, computers, "et al". The Arab contributions to the world is fury, rage and the perpetuation of war against all they view as "infidels" (non-believers). The Arab/Muslim world has not measured up and they hate all of us Westerners for the stark comparison.

Similarly, the Arab and Muslims hate the Jewish State for much the same reasons, and, of course, with the biggest reason being that the Arabs hate the Jews is that they lost 6 wars of aggression to the insignificant, formerly weak and despised Jews. Recall that most of the Arab nations were allies of Adolph Hitler and pleaded with him to bring his killing machine to Jerusalem. Islam will use anyone who fulfills the rage and hatred they have for anyone and everyone who are not like them. They successfully recruited oil-consuming nations and companies to advance their cause against Israel. As a result, we were flooded with Islamic sleeper agents who were allowed easy entry into America to please Arab oil nations.

So, dear Media, please know this. You are not the moral arbiters of what is right for the Jewish State. Israel has the same right to defend her country against the terrorists who kill, snipe at and bomb her children, men and women as America does to defend her country, men, women and children against Osama bin Laden and eventually, Saddam Hussein.

Make no mistake. If Israel doesn't dis-empower Yassir Arafat now, his terrorist organizations' tentacles will reach into America as Bin Laden's did.

Now, will the Media play fair? Dear Sirs and Madams: We await your best shot.
